Privacy Policy

PricingLog is a static informational website. It exists to publish verified pricing data, not to collect data about you. This policy describes the little that does happen.

What this site collects directly

Nothing, today. The site sets no cookies of its own, runs no advertising, and has no user accounts, comments, or forms at the time of writing. If that changes (for example, when advertising is introduced), this policy will be updated first and the effective date revised.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Vercel Inc. Like effectively all web hosts, Vercel may process standard technical request data (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) to deliver pages and maintain security, under Vercel's privacy policy. PricingLog does not use this data to identify visitors.

Newsletter (planned)

A weekly email digest of pricing changes is planned, operated through Buttondown, an email newsletter service. If and when you subscribe: your email address is processed by Buttondown under its privacy policy; subscription is confirmed by double opt-in; every email contains a working unsubscribe link; and your address is used for the newsletter and nothing else — never sold, rented, or shared with tool vendors. Until the signup form actually appears on this site, no newsletter data is collected at all.

Email you send us

If you email the contact address, the message and address are used only to handle your report or question. Correction reports may be referenced (without your personal details) in public changelog entries.

Analytics

If privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics are added later (to count page views, not to track people), this section will name the provider. No analytics script is present at the effective date above.

Your rights

You can ask what data exists about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and unsubscribe from any email at any time. For anything this policy doesn't answer, contact the editor.

Changes to this policy

Material changes are made by updating this page and its effective date. The site's append-only discipline applies here in spirit: changes are made openly, not silently.
